Snowtape 1.0.1 Available

Where everybody else is in San Francisco right now at WWDC, I am staying home working hard to bring you the first update to Snowtape after the final release.

It has been exciting weeks for me now. I am so pleased that you guys love Snowtape and I like to thank everybody who purchased the full version either in the pre-release period or after the major release. And I hope that if you didn't get your license yet that you are convinced now with this brand new version.

Online Radio Directory

Number #1 request from you guys is more stations. Snowtape originally comes with 40 Stations already available in the default database. This collection is perfect for testing any kind of music genre before you start something more advanced. Up until three days ago it was kind of hard to find links to radio stations that are compatible with Snowtape if not impossible for the mere mortal. Then I released the Online Radio Directory at snowtape.com. Version 1.0.1 brings a better integration of this service. You can choose "Online Radio Directory" from the Snowtape menu which brings you directly to the website, where you can browse the directory and search for a particular station. With a click on "TUNE IN" the station is automatically imported into Snowtape and starts playing immediatly. Currently there are over 600 stations available and much more are coming.

Other features

Version 1.0.1 also integrates a German version of the Snowtape help menu. The localized version opens automatically if you are using Snowtape in German.

Importing radio stations has also been improved. It is much more reliable and does not bring up a lot of error messages anymore. With it also comes support for cyrillic and korean radio stations. The "Last Imported" category now not only displays the very last station but every imported station since one day before. You can find a list of every feature that has been added here.
