I am pleased to announce that Snowtape 1.0 is finished and available for download from now on. It has become an absolute remarkable application.
First I like to thank everybody who worked hard on this with me. And also I would like to thank everybody who actively tested Snowtape last month. This helped me a lot in making a better product.
I decided to not make a trial period for the application itself. This way you are able to use Snowtape for listening to radio for free as long as you like. Instead I limited the time period you can record audio with Snowtape to 60 minutes overall. So from the first start of the app you can record up to 60 minutes of audio until you have to choose if you want to buy. The time you have left is displayed in the lower right corner of the main window.
I decided to change the "Foresighted Recording" feature again and to rename it to "Overlapped Recording". Overlapped Recording works pretty much the same as Foresighted Recording but there are now overlapping periods on both ends of the track. Overlapped recording needs to be activated in the preferences.
The built-in Help Book now includes a lot of information on how to use Snowtape. The help book should cover pretty much every aspect of Snowtape from listening to organizing, recording, editing and exporting. I am sure this will help you a lot.
A lot of people asked me to provide a way of relocating the Snowtape database folder to store it on an external hard drive. You can do this now using Finder aliases. Just move the Snowtape folder somewhere else and make an alias at the old location named "Snowtape". Snowtape will resolve the alias and even mount external hard-drives if possible.
Make sure you update today! This can be done via the integrated update mechanism or directly from the Snowtape website.
